Prayer Life

Spiritual Life Committee:

This committee fosters spiritual growth and renewal, both on an individual level and as a community, through various spiritual and devotional practices.

Men of St. Joseph's Group:

Every Tuesday Morning, from 6-7 a.m., St. Francis and St. Clare hosts a Men's prayer group called the men of St. Joseph. They come together to discuss the upcoming Sunday Gospel, as well as discuss how the Lord is continuing to work in their lives.

"St. Joseph, help me to be like you. Help me to be obedient to the teachings of the Church and faithful to God's commands. Help me to patiently endure my cross each day. Let me be a model of holiness and a pillar of virtue. I solemnly promise to embrace God's will and I accept the challenge to work tirelessly for my family's salvation. Be my guide and companion on this journey. St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us."

For more information regarding this weekly men's group meeting, contact Joe Scialdone at (850) 530-8094.

Rosary

Please come to join in praying the Rosary. The scheduled times are listed below:

  • St. Patrick's: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 7:50 a.m.
  • St. Mary's: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7:50 a.m.
  • St. Mary's: Wednesdays, 7 p.m.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

Jesus invites his friends, "Can you not watch one hour with me?" St. Francis and St. Clare Parish offers multiple opportunities to "watch with Jesus." The Blessed Sacrament is exposed every Thursday at St. Mary's from 9:30 am to 4 pm. The Blessed Sacrament is also exposed for a Holy Hour every Wednesday from 5 to 6 pm at St. Patrick's Church, where the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy are recited. Please refer to the bulletin for any seasonal changes.

Prayer Network Committee

This ministry provides prayer support through email networking by offering support to those who are in need of prayers or who want to offer thanksgiving for prayers already answered. If you would like to join this ministry, please e-mail Darlene Duprey at darlened@rochester.rr.com to have your family member's name added to the email network.

If you would like your family members' or friends' names put in the bulletin under "Pray for our sick and homebound," you may call the Parish office at (315) 651-4349.

Memorial Mass

The Church dedicates the month of November to remembrance of the deceased. Family members are invited by special invitation to a special Mass in memory for all those who have passed away during the past year. During the Mass, as the litany of names is read, candles are lit and flowers are placed in a vase in honor of those whose names are read. Families are invited to bring a picture of their loved one to be displayed during the Mass. A reception follows the Mass; all are welcome.
